Can CarGenerator Really Run My Old Furnace?

Can CarGenerator Really Run My Old Furnace?
Heck yeah it can! We often have people on social media tell us that "there is no way a furnace draws less than 1000W of power, so you ain't gonna run it on no stinkin' car." These armchair critics haven't actually done any research mind you, but in this day in age, how important are facts anyway? To us, they're very important, and the fact is that CarGenerator has no problem running most medium or high-efficiency furnaces; providing them with enough power for the fan and electronics, which means that the gas boiler or burner works, which means that you and your family are warm and toasty until the power comes back on. In this video we look at an older furnace installation in a typical 2000 sq ft suburban home. Barb and Bruce's house is equipped with a TRANE XV80 medium efficiency furnace that they've had for about 10 years. Even without being the newest and most energy-efficient model, CarGenerator has no problem running their furnace, or even their furnace along with a computer and some lights. You can't run a hot tub or a high-powered microwave oven, of course, but your furnace and small low-draw appliances are no problem at all. As we demonstrated last week from the side of the road, you can even run an InstantPot. Warm air and hot soup? Bring on the blackouts! If you need power when the power goes out, and don't want to have to spend thousands of dollars on a big, ugly generator that might see only occasional use, then you need CarGenerator.
Bruce and I are now the happy owners of a CarGenerator which has to be one of the most impressive inventions I've seen in a long while. Jonathan delivered our unit on Monday and provided us with a demonstration of how the unit would keep our furnace and fridge running in a power outage. Bruce turned on his 2010 Dodge van and the furnace, attached to the van via the CarGenerator and a 100 foot extension cord from COSTCO, started up. AMAZING!!! The unit is lightweight, compact, takes up no room. And no diesel fuel to store. So clever. It will save us during the next power outage - kinda' looking forward to one just to see it work! -Barb Willits, CarGenerator Owner, Toronto, ON
